I realise there is such a thing as over-exposure - but I did feel slightly bereft.

I must give a mention to a group of ladies from a church in Bury, Lancashire, who made the Singing Garden Quilt and are raffling it for their charity which happens to be the Manchester Christie Hospital Children's department. For those who don't know about the Christie Hospital - it is a world famous hospital that specialises in all forms of cancer.
A close family member has been receiving treatment at the hospital these past 6 months, so it is a charity particularly dear to my heart.
On the first day of campaigning in Bury they raised over £200 and this last weekend at Morrisons in Whitefield, raised over £900. And that is just the beginning.
I'm so thrilled and very proud that my quilt design is being used as the means of raising large sums of money for this wonderful hospital.

Babs it's absolutely beautiful - such gorgeous colours and I'm really sorry that I came to this too late :o( I do have the first block and am slowly collecting the back issues I don't have in order to make it eventually though :o).
I'm off work today and busy designing :o)
I hope things are well with you - The Christie is dear to my heart too, along with St Anne's Hospice in Heald Green - it's wonderful to hear about the fund-raising work.

It is much prettier in the flesh. Photos don't do it justice.
Friends thought it a bit 'twee' - unlike my own stuff. Yes, it is, but I thought the design was perfect for a magazine BOM and so it has proved judging by the comments received and number of people making the quilt all over the world.
You seem to be going great guns and I have a peek at your Blog when I'm catching up on mine.
