Unknown said...: Oh dear Babs, what a disaster!! I now realise what a lucky escape we may have had. Our local council have been offering wall insulation at a greatly reduced rate, so we arranged for someone to come round and see if our walls were suitable. Unfortunately they are not cavity walls, so we couldn't go ahead, but I'm now thinking "thank goodness for that"!!; October 24, 2008 at 11:39 AM

It is difficult to imagine what you must be going through right now...it seems that people can be taken advantage of regardless of where one lives. Here in America there are those people who travel around and prey on the unwary elder citizens, too. One must always be on the lookout for unsavory deals.
